Is Portale dell'olio really free?
Yes. Sign-up, batch listing and the buyer-to-mill matchmaking are completely free. We charge no commission on sales: the deal happens directly between the parties.
How do you verify mills and the oil on sale?
Every mill is verified through official data from ministerial sources (ICQRF, Chamber of Commerce). Every listed batch exposes chemical parameters, panel test results, cultivar, region of origin and the traceability of harvest, milling and yield.
Can I sell as a private individual or farm?
The portal is dedicated to operators in the olive supply chain with a VAT number: mills, farms with proprietary production, accredited traders. Verification happens at sign-up.
How are batch payments handled?
Payment is handled directly between buyer and seller under the conditions agreed in chat (bank transfer, payment on delivery, deferred). Portale dell'olio does not intermediate financial transactions.
Can I use it for international sales too?
Yes. The portal is available in Italian and English and is built for international buyers interested in Italian extra virgin olive oil. Product sheets are readable in both languages.
What's the relationship between Portale dell'olio and the Extravirgin software?
Portale dell'olio is the trading platform; Extravirgin is the Windows management software for olive mills made by Nextfuture. Extravirgin users can automatically sync their batches to the portal with no double entry.
